The rest of the page (from "Categories worth watching" on) is evergreen shopping advice that does not depend on this year's offers.

Amazon vs Flipkart: how to compare

Neither sale is cheaper in general, and we do not claim one is. Compare the final payable amount for the exact same model on both. Amazon vs Flipkart 2026 gives an 11-step method and a side-by-side table that says "varies by product" where that is the honest answer.

Categories worth watching

This part is evergreen. Prices matter most where they are high and move often: smartphones, laptops, TVs, large appliances, headphones, smartwatches and gaming. For fashion, beauty and everyday items, unit price and returns matter more. See what to compare in each category.

How to tell if a sale price is actually good

  • Compare the final payable amount with what the exact product recently cost, not with the crossed-out price.
  • Treat a percentage as a ceiling on selected products, not a typical discount.
  • Count only offers you can really use: your card, your exchange, your basket.
  • Check the seller, delivery, warranty and returns.

Worked, hypothetical examples are in the sale savings guide, and the general method is in How to Know if an Online Deal Is Actually Good.

How to prepare your shopping list

  1. List what you need.
  2. Note today's price of each item.
  3. Pin down the exact model.
  4. Set a target price for each.
  5. Decide which card and exchange you would use.
  6. Track the items that matter.

How DealTrackerProBot helps

DealTrackerProBot is an independent Telegram bot that tracks supported Amazon marketplaces and Flipkart. You can get price-drop alerts, target-price alerts, back-in-stock alerts and, for Amazon, coupon alerts where it detects one, plus the price history it has recorded since you started tracking. It has no special access to either sale, it cannot guarantee the lowest price, and because it checks periodically, very short deals can be missed. How to track sale prices has the workflow.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Short answers based on what the marketplaces have confirmed and on how price tracking works.

Amazon says its Great Indian Festival opened to all customers at 12 a.m. IST on October 8, 2026. Flipkart says Big Billion Days early access began October 8, 2026 and general access opens October 9, 2026. Neither marketplace has published an end date on the pages we reviewed.

Flipkart says eligible Plus, VIP/BLACK members and eligible Flipkart credit-card holders. Amazon's pages we reviewed give no 2026 early-access date; Prime members had early access in earlier editions.

Neither in general. It varies by product, seller, card and time. Compare the final payable amount for the exact model on both.

Treat it as a starting point. Check what the exact product recently cost and work out your own saving.

Send the product link to DealTrackerProBot on Telegram. It tracks supported Amazon marketplaces and Flipkart and can alert you on price drops or at a target price. It cannot guarantee the lowest price.

The 2026 pages stay as a record of the event, with confirmed dates and what shoppers can learn from it. We do not leave outdated "live now" content in place.
